Cherryhill Fire Announces Annual Trunk or Treat Event

By Chief Jody Rainey
October 16, 2022

The annual Trunk or Treat event will be held on Sunday, October 30. Trunk or Treat was establsihed in 2019 as a more safe manner to execute trick or treat night for the children of Cherryhill Township and surrounding areas. Because there is limited, to no sidewalks in the residental areas of Cherryhill Township, moving children and their families off the streets and into the parking lot of the fire station made sense to the leadership of the fire company and the township supervisors.

The new concept, Trunk or Treat is for trunkers to arrive at the fire station by 12:00 and to decorate their vehicles in Halloween/Fall themed designs. Trunkers also bring treats to distribute to the childen treaters that children begin treating at 1:00. Members of the fire compnay will be on hand to help direct parking and maintain a safe area for the event. The coordinators of the event will be on site to answer questions and guide families in order to have a fun family experience.

If you are interested in being a trunker and have questions contact the Trunk or Treat Coordinators, Becky Zemlock or Connie Ringler using the information on the attached flier.

Come to Trunk or Treat Sunday, October 30 and create great family memories
